Boat Enclosure clear vinyl guage
by: Tammy

Hi Allan,
We usually use 30 and 40 gauge sheet plastic. I like regalite product. We also use a lot of their product calle O'sea, which is scratch and UV resistant, but carries a premium price. With the regalite products, their vinyl tends to carry a softer hand, so I would recommend the 40 gauge. Otherwise the heat of the summer will tend to make it overly flexible and soft. All can be rolled up easily.
Shrinkage is very normal and can be minimized by keeping it snapped in place when not using it and leaving the boat. How much, is difficult to say, 1/2" to 1". However making it sloppy to compensate is not very appealing either.
Good question, Thanks Tammy
