How can we remove brownish stains from the plastic on the bottom of our plastic and canvas boat top? It is around the snaps on some of the curtains

We have a 1990 rinker and have a canvas and vinyl top enclosure . We need to know the proper way to clean both the vinyl and the canvas and then what rain protector to apply to the canvas. Our biggest problem is a Brownish stain on the vinyl by the snaps with the canvas. Never had it before. It won't wipe off. Thanks. Our vinyl is pretty clear still and is at least 10 years old. Thanks

Once these brown spots appear there is absolutely nothing that can be done for it. It's almost like a burn, but is some kind of reaction to the clear vinyl in the boat enclosure. You will live with it until you can't, then you should be able to replace the clear vinyl if everything else is still good. You can either pull the thread and insert the new clear vinyl into the fabric edge or overlay it and use binding to hide the edge of the clear vinyl.
I hope this helps. Sorry for the news.
