How to fix bimini cord/rope that attaches to boat for support

I have a 2010 Mariah 18.9 Bow rider that has a bimini. When we bought the boat (used), I tried to secure the bimini top to the boat but the rope/cord was rotted so it broke. Is there any way to fix this?
Bimini tops are usually secured with bimini top straps or support poles. There are many ways to attach a strap to your bimini top frame, but to attach the strap to the boat you will need an eye strap which will screw to the boat.
Support poles are nice, because they give a more secure setup for you bimini. I go into much greater detail about both these solutions on my bimini accessories page found here
