Trying to put a zipper in a window panel in a 'U' shape but having trouble rounding the corners
Hi Karen,
Your radius has to be large enough to sew the zipper into. If the corner is to tight it will fight and pucker the zipper.
The outside radius is sewn first. The inside radius comes second and will have small pleats in it. Your radius will need to be at least as large a dinner plate.
Using 1/4" double sided tape will help hold it in place while you sew, however if you do use the tape you will see it from the front side. If it doesn't matter to you then use the tape.
You can use a T-pin to push the pleats in as you sew over the pin them. Hope this helps.
