installing new eye end without screw
by: Hunter Lake Boater

I have a replacement internal eye end but can't seem to cram it in the pole. Hammering alone is not doing the trick and I'm starting to mangle the part. Has anyone tried heating up the tube with a torch and then hammering it in?

Replacing nylon eye mount of bimini
by: Terri Rush

What I did was hacksaw off the end of the broken plastic eye. Then I used a large screwdriver and hammer and tapped the remaining piece up inside the tube. Won't hurt anything to leave it there. Then pushed the replacement eye up and used a rubber mallet to tap into place. You can use the screws provided and drill a small hole to anchor it but mine fit very tightly so I didn't think I needed to.
